Wushu:
Wushu is both a performance and full-contact sport which evolved from traditional Chinese martial arts. It became the official sport of the Peoples Republic of China in the year 1949 in an attempt to nationalize the practice of Chinese martial arts.
This class consists of modern and traditional Wushu training. Wushu, also known as kung-fu, is maybe the most challenging martial arts and has fashioned its place among current action/martial arts films. Wushu is a high intensity workout which places great importance on stretching and conditioning. The training can be compared to gymnastics with its sequences of movements, which include basics, combos and a number aerial acrobatics. Along with this, official international routines (officially standardized by the IWuF) are taught, such as empty-hand (Chang-quan and Nan-quan style) and weapons (Jianshu, Daoshu, Qiangshu, and Gunshu) forms.
Wushu is visually the most graceful but powerful martial arts that can be practice by people of all ages.
